PAINLESS JOURNALING SUNDAYS with SarahKaye
Welcome to the third week of Painless Journaling! Many people say journaling is the hardest part of scrapbooking and these exercises are designed to help you unblock your creative writing mojo! Basically, Painless Journaling is designed to get your creative juices flowing and open a part of your brain that will allow you to better express yourself in your journaling efforts.
For those of you that didn’t catch the PJ posts the last two Sundays, you can find the introduction and first exercise in this post. You might want to read through it to get the most benefit from each lesson. The second post can be found here. They’re lots of fun!
WEEK 3- WORD BANK
You may have played with those magnetic poetry kits that provide you with a set number of words that you can rearrange to your heart’s content. This is similar, but you’ll be rearranging them into a story of your own. Look at the list of words below and use them to create your own story.
Write away on any topic you wish! You can use any form of the word (SHAPE could be used as shaped, shaping, etc.). You do not need to use every one of the words, but you must use at least half of the words. You may repeat them as many times as you want. It’s a wide variety of words so you could go a lot of different ways with it!

You could use this exercise as a start of the journaling for your own photos.
Maybe in the past you have taken note that sometimes other people’s words say things better than we can. Make that work for you and use an excerpt from something like the Velveteen Rabbit on a layout about your child’s favorite toy.
You could include an excerpt from your favorite book in your All About Me album.
Get out your thesaurus and find more descriptive words for the journaling you write.
OR
As is the case with all these exercises, you could use it to just get your pen going and get yourself in the “writing mood”.
We’d love to read what you come up with so make sure you post your story in the comment section. Also, please post a link using Inlinkz below to any project you created that you journaled better having been inspired by these exercises!

I still need seven more songs… not sure that’s close enough. But it’s been a lot of fun ladies. Thanks, Peggy x
